El Greco and Cezanne'south influence flooded Picasso's work. In the 20th century, Jackson Pollock filled early sketchbooks with studies of principal drawings and the young Grace Hartigan painted her fashion through Rubens and Velasquez. This workshop offers a take a chance to explore this heady approach in a weekend afternoon workshop in the Museum's art studio and galleries. This two-step process is especially useful for museum sketching because the wet medium is utilized in the art studio before and later the dry out sketching that is required in gallery and museum environments.
Part I ~ Saturday ~ In the Museum'south Art Studio:

A surprising synchronicity emerges every bit the sketches combine with the groundwork colors of the watercolor monotypes.
